Michael P.Rausch
Michael P. Rausch is a Partner at Deasey, Mahoney & Valentini, Ltd. where he represents a wide variety of large corporations and insurers in technically complex and sophisticated product liability, construction, professional liability, and negligence lawsuits as well as matters involving insurance coverage and indemnification.
He has represented clients in both Federal and State Courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as well as before administrative agencies. Mike serves as a court appointed arbitrator for the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas and has spoken extensively to automobile manufacturer’s staff and representatives on the issues of state Lemon Law and federal warranty law.
Over the course of his career, Mike has represented major domestic and foreign automobile manufacturers, airgun/firearms manufacturers, agricultural and industrial equipment manufacturers, makers of athletic equipment and helmets, and major retailers and distributors in product liability lawsuits involving catastrophic injuries to include significant traumatic brain injury and death. Mike has experience litigating for both primary and excess insurers in a wide variety of complex matters. His experience includes cases involving commercial vehicle litigation involving more than 40 claimants, representation of a national property management company in cases involving death and complex medical causation issues, and representation of attorneys, architects, engineers, accountants and outpatient surgical centers in professional liability matters.
Prior to joining the firm, Mike was Of Counsel with White and Williams LLP and an Associate with Lavin, Coleman, Finarelli & Gray. Mike served as a Special Agent for the United States Department of State Bureau of Diplomatic Security where he performed various security functions at middle eastern, east European and Asian posts.
Mike received his B.A. from the College of William and Mary in 1986 and his J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1994.
Mike is an active volunteer in his local community. He is a member of the marketing committee of the Career Transition Partnership, a local non-profit organization that advises and mentors adults in career transition.
In his spare time, he enjoys fly fishing, camping and golf.
