Christine D.Steere
Christine is an Associate with Deasey, Mahoney & Valentini, Ltd. and focuses her practice on employment law, civil rights, and municipal defense litigation in State and Federal Courts.
Christine has a wide range of experience handling employment litigation (discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination claims under Title VII, ADA, FMLA and the ADEA) and civil rights litigation (First, Fourth, Eighth and Fourteenth Amendments). Christine has successfully defended appeals in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Pennsylvania Commonwealth and Superior Courts. Christine also has practiced before numerous government agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission.
Prior to joining the firm, Christine defended a Fortune 500 retailer in all areas of employee relations issues. Christine also served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Nitza Alejandro Quiñones in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas following her graduation from law school.
Christine is a native of Maine where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Maine. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1999. While in law school, Christine served as Senior Publication Editor on the Temple Political & Civil Rights Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Honor Society.
Christine is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
In her spare time, Christine enjoys baking, gardening and spending time with family.
